OPSIAL GREENER TOGETHER, a sustainable progress approach
Because we are aware of the environmental and social footprint of our products, our aim is to lower the impact of our range, while ensuring that our products remain accessible to all, with high performance.
SUSTAINABLE PROGRESS #1 – More responsible raw materials
Whenever possible, we give priority to recycled raw materials (polyester, polyamide, polycarbonate), organic materials (cotton grown without chemicals, pesticides or artificial fertilizers) or biosourced materials.
We control the risks associated with chemical substances in our products to protect human health and the environment.
- We comply with the European Union’s REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization, and Restriction of Chemicals) regulation, adopted to combat the risks associated with chemical substances in industry.
- 26% of our knitted gloves carry the OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 label, which guarantees the absence of harmful substances in textiles.

SUSTAINABLE PROGRESS #2 – High-performance equipment built to last
We improve the resistance of our products :
- We use more resistant fibers such as Cordura®
- We improve the resistance of our garments over time (triple seams, reinforcements, etc.).
- We often carry out additional tests over and above the requirements of PPE standards (eg.pilling).
- We have created ranges of cut-resistant gloves certified to be washable up to 3 times.
We advise our customers on which product is best suited to their long-term use.

SUSTAINABLE PROGRESS #3 – Reduced packaging, with less plastic
For several years now, we have been implementing a range of solutions aimed at reducing the environmental impact of our packaging.
- We have already eliminated plastic from 96% of our packaging, which accounts for a reduction of 45 tonnes each year.
- We use recycled cardboard and/or cardboard from sustainably managed forests for primary packaging (around the product) and secondary packaging (for the outer box).
- We use vegetable-based inks for printing on all our packaging.
- We choose 100% of natural clay desiccant bags to replace the more polluting silica gel.

Respectful manufacturing conditions
Select responsible industrial partners
- We regularly assess our industrial partners on the basis of quality and social and environmental responsibility criteria.
- We are members of the Leather Working Group (LWG), a global multi-stakeholder community committed to building a sustainable future with responsible leather. (All our leather gloves come from an LWG Gold-certified tannery).
- Two of our industrial partners are certified OEKOTEX® STeP, guaranteeing production that respects the environment and human rights.
Guarantee products traceability
We are using TraceForGood, a software for traceability and management of social and environmental data, which should enable us to work more transparently with our industrial partners and give us greater visibility over our entire value chain.

The OPSIAL GREENER TOGETHER selection, our range of eco-friendly products
The OPSIAL GREENER TOGETHER (OGT) SELECTION is a selection of PPE distinguished by high standards of eco-design, with no compromise on performance.
To be included in the OPSIAL GREENER TOGETHER SELECTION, a product must meet the following 2 conditions:
- The integration of recycled and/or biosourced raw materials
- 100% recycled cardboard or plastic packaging, with vegetable-based inks

Life cycle assessment (LCA)
Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) is a standardised method for assessing the environmental impact of a product throughout its life cycle: from raw material production to end-of-life.
This method takes into account 16 indicators (climate change, water use, etc.).
The results enable us to confirm our eco-design choices.

Our CSR approach in graphics
For each commitment, we endeavour to provide evidence and measure our progress. Therefore, we have illustrated our approach to sustainable progress with key indicators.
